Glorious Alpaca Fleece - Duvet details at bottom of this page!

Our current focus is on products that use the fleece from our own alpacas. We supply raw and carded fibre, and spun fibre for hand and machine knitting/weaving. We partially card our white and light fawn belly, leg and neck for our own, commercially-made 100% alpaca-filled quality duvets.

Our natural coloured fibre is popular and we do process it when we have sufficient quantity and quality. However, the fineness of the lighter fibres has now allowed us to produce a natural white/cream weave - in natural and dyed - suitable for machine knitting (and dyeing). We do not import fleece, as we are keen for people to understand their own complete potential when managing their own alpaca herd.

Our recent clips, processed August 2007 and January 2008, come in:

1. 8-ply 50 gram balls 100% alpaca dyed and natural balls. Colours: Natural light cream, pink, maroon, red, navy blue, bottle green and peat brown. Picture right shows colours except the peat brown. Price: $7.50/ball, $70 for bag of 10 balls (incl. GST and Courier P&P for orders over $50). Delivery 3 days after payment. Picture below right is a child's super-soft pullover in the bottle green (picture below right) - picture left is an idea for your own minature herd - in our 7 colours of 2007!(picture below left).

2. R110Tex/2-ply on cones: 100% alpaca dyed - bottle green, maroon, navy blue - and in natural light cream. 2-ply is specifically for machine knitting. Price: $80/kilo incl. GST and courier P&P.

3. Unprocessed Raw Fleece: Grey - both Silver Grey, Roan Grey's and Dark Grey. Light Brown, Dark Brown, Black (lustrous bay- and blue-black), Medium to Dark Fawn/Caramel, Light Cream and Bright White. If you are looking for alpaca stuffing for pillows (pet or us human) or duvet cover filling then we have large amounts of belly white of good handle. 4. We have produced some ladies fashion light pullovers in 100% alpaca in natural cream and ink blue, and in a variety of sizes. These are 100% alpaca, 100% Otago, 12.5% GST items and very soft and fashionable - price $70 (incl GST and P&P). Please make contact if you are interested in these wonderfully warm and elegant, 100% New Zealand, 100% alpaca garments.

5. The small knitted alpacas require less than one ball of yarn and are stuffed with cleaned and carded alpaca fibre - so are 100% alpaca - price: $12.50 each(plus P&P unless order is $50 or over).

6. 100% white alpaca fleece filled duvets with high quality commercially manufactured very high quality bright-white cotton outer with embossed fern design. Fleece 'grown' processed and prepared in Otago and Southland, duvet inner commercially manufactured in same region. Comes in standard plastic clear cover. Winter Grade - simply gorgeous!
