Soy

Tara Soy is mad! No question ... completely mad ... or the sun always gets to her head? If you approach the paddock the first thing you will see is a black streak rushing towards you and then bounding in the air like a young lamb on 96 octane. We think she has forgotten she is a pregnant mum nursing a youngster in her belly. She tears around the field and shakes her head from side-to-side when you approach the fence. When the nuts come out she snorts loudly, again starting to buck so that other females are warned off, puzzled by this unladylike behaviour. MAD .... if we could find a vet to pronounce her I'm sure he/she would say ... mad! Wonderfully mad!

But lovely with it... It is a genuine welcome from Soy as that bounding to the fence seems like her way of showing her excitement at seeing you. Its just so out of 'paca character .. that's what's bemusing. If all alpaca were like Soy then we would all like alpaca even more than we do but ...??? Her boy of 2004, Zorro, has the same, looks, fleece .... madness? And her most recent cria, Thumb, has the same mental state ... but is completely solid white! Well the two of them are not that mad but I think he has picked a few ideas up from their mum!

Both Soy and Thumb are off to a new home .... they really were special and will now entertain some fresh 'parents' ...
