Storm

Currently pregnant to Amaretto, Storm remains the nosy 'paca she started out as just after birth. Born during a storm ... yes, we know 'pacas don't get born in a storm ... Kristy Rusher, a friend, had to assist Storm's mum, Ledgers Lass, with the birth under blackening skies. A solid white female she is inquisitive and always sniffing for a nut; her eyes seem to get noticeably larger when those nuts come out. As we said she can look as if she has been struck by lightening ... and those tasty nuts exaggerate that look!!

Due her next offspring in February 2006, we are hoping for another female cria reflecting Storm's character and size ... but maybe not her heavy fleece. Certainly her first cria, Moonlight, has a dense fleece with all-over coverage ... to her nose! Moonlight is now with the weaned girls ... all peas in the pod.

A pleasure to shear or nail-clip Storm is a big girl. We chose her amongst 'Our Alpacas' because she is always first in the paddock to welcome you, would NEVER insult us humans with a typical green calling card (spit...) and will always mill around us humans waiting for a tit-bit.
