What can you say about Otto? Now a stud male and a Reserve Champion in the Senior Huacaya Class at the National Show 2004 this guy thinks he is the bees-knees! With his first offspring due on the ground this summer Otto remains the cuddly teddy bear of our herd, keen to be scratched on the neck and on his ... hairpiece! Otto has a distinctive 'paca chirp and tends to watch-over his girls, in his own aloof way, rather than dominate. His third fleece, dense to touch, moves like a light ripple or swell from front neck to rear quarter and appears to not be as prone to vegetation ingress unlike other alpaca.
And Otto's stage fright in Shows during 2003 seems have disappeared ... but only after tens of hours halter training. Little Phantom was sorted in 30 minutes ... we guess Otto just like the attention? He's a darling ... on a good day!
