Minnie and her very young female cria, Mermaid, make an ideal 3-in-1 package with Minnie's mating to Mitcham. Minnie (IAR: 57829), born April 2002, and Mermaid, born 5 February 2005, are solid white females. Mermaid father was Purrumbete Snowlander and was the first offspring of Minnie. Marianna, Minnie's mother, followed Minnie's birth with that of Shilo, a Reserve Champion at the Upper Clutha A&P in early 2004.
Minnie's temperament is much like her mum's, a calm alpaca happy to be around us humans. Born here in Dunedin she is a well fleeced alpaca but does like to get in the rolling holes on a more regular basis than the average 'paca!. She does like the nuts and the company of our cat. Her daughter - strong little thing - happily survived a viscous storm here on 7 February ... only 54 hours old ... hence ... Mermaid!
